Tourist photographing tourists photographing the Statue of Liberty
Dipped back into the archives and pulled this image from a visit to New York City in October of 2008. My wife and I were on the ferry heading to Liberty Island and all of a sudden every person up on the top deck pulled out a point ‘n shoot digital camera and started firing away as we neared the Statue of Liberty. This has to be one of my favorite travel pictures and another perfect illustration of “everyday surrealism”. And for the record I myself was using a point ‘n shoot instead of a megabuck pro camera.
