Reaching to the Sky, Joshua Tree National Park
After having missed the past two years due to the pandemic, we finally made it back to Palm Springs.
And an integral part of any trip we make to Palm Springs is at least one, if not two, trips out to Joshua Tree. This image is from the second trip to the park during our 10 day stay. We had planned a hike of the Lost Palms Oasis trail during our abandoned trip two years ago. This trail is in the south central portion of JTNP near the Cottonwood Visitor Center, a part of the park we have never really explored. This area of the park, below 3000 feet elevation, is part of the Colorado desert with different types of vegetation and animal life than the higher Mojave desert.
Since this was a hike of seven plus miles, I only brought a Fuji X-Pro1 with an 18mm wide angle lens for quick snaps along the way.
