November Calm, (North) Sand Lake
This is an early November sunset taken from the West facing shore of the lake. It was a very quiet Sunday evening with the quiet amplified (if you can amplify quiet) since our neighbors had left in the afternoon after a busy couple of days preparing for winter. I wanted to bring that quiet and stillness to this image, so I used a 30 second exposure time to calm the lake and get a bit of movement in the clouds. This image came at the end of three warm and gorgeous days that you do not usually see this time of year. November is typically cloudy and dreary, but this has certainly not been a typical weather year. Back home now it appears that normal November weather has prevailed. Last night there were flecks of snow in the air and this morning it is wet and dreary outside.
