Harbinger for Tomorrow, (North) Sand Lake Wisconsin
As I was processing this image taken in late September just after the autumn equinox, I was thinking of the old sailor’s saying, “Pink sky at night, sailors delight, pink sky in the morning, sailors take warning.” Not sure that old saying always holds true, and it didn’t in the case of this image since the next day dawned cold and windy. I ultimately chose the Harbinger for Tomorrow title because a sunset such as the one above may not promise a good day, but it at least provides a sign, a signal or an omen of what is to come tomorrow.
