A Light in the Forest, Jackson Township Wisconsin
Another brief weekend trip to the cabin… I woke early, before dawn, not expecting the morning sky to promise much in the way of photographic opportunities, but there was a pink glow to in the clouds to the east so I decided to get up and head out to see what I could find. I did make at least one interesting exposure at the landing on the west side of the lake, but decided to continue on around the lake to the pine grove I’ve been visiting over the past year. I made a number of exposures there and was rewarded with the image above. It’s one of those “being in the right place at the right time” moments we landscape photographers hope for but do not always find.
