Storm Clouds on Sand Lake – Redux in B&W

Storm Clouds on Sand Lake - Redux in B&W

This is a repost (re-blog ???) of an image I originally posted on August 22nd; however, this one I have converted to B&W using the demo/trial version of Nik Silver Efex Pro 2. I almost think I like the B&W version better. I remember my B&W film days shooting bulk loaded Tri-X with my Nikon F equipment, developing the negatives and the long nights in the darkroom getting those images onto paper. Technology has come a long way, and while I do have some fond memories of my experiences with analog B&W photography, I don’t think I could go back now. I can see myself shooting and developing some more film before I pass on, but I would scan the negatives produce the prints in the digital realm. Lots more control, and yes, it’s easier to process those digital images sitting with a laptop in front of the TV than going through the “muss and fuss” of producing a wet print.
